Tutorial: Create an Advisor Database/Model Portfolio Template (3:00) -
Create general and specific modifiable Advisor Databases as Model Portfolio Templates that are linked to a selected Allocation Table Matrix.
As an Allocation Table Matrix defines how capital will be initially allocated to the Investment Sectors in an Allocation Table Matrix, Advisor Databases define how Investment Sector capital will be distributed to the weighted investments in each Investment Sector of a linked Allocation Table Matrix. .
To create an Advisor Database, go to Advisor Databases @ the Main Menu.
Click on the New icon.
Create a new Advisor Database or copy and modify an existing one.
To create a new Advisor Database, title the Advisor Database and link it to an Allocation Table Matrix.
The Allocation Table Matrix determines the Investment Sectors that will be used to create the Advisor Database and the different Investment Sector selections and weightings for different investor investment profiles when allocating a portfolio.
Click on Next and the Investment Sectors used in the linked Allocation Table Matrix will appear.
Highlight an Investment Sector and click on List and all of the investments entered in the Master Database under that Investment Sector will appear.
Highlight and click on the investments to be included in the new Advisor Database.
When all investments have been selected for each Investment Sector, click on Next and the Sector Weighting Window will open.
Go through each Investment Sector and weight the selected underlying investments as desired.
Click on next and the new Advisor Database is complete and ready for creating and modifying portfolios.
Advisor Databases may be modified with new selections, combinations and weightings of Investment Sectors and investments and those changes my be applied to portfolios created with the Advisor Database to update portfolios.
