Portfolio Performance — Combined Summary Basics

When calculating the combined performances of selected or global investment portfolios, the selected global benchmark @ Setup is used. Benchmarks as defined @ individual accounts are not applied.

There are three Combined Report options:

  • Selected or global accounts set to same analysis range @ each account.
    • Set global benchmark @ Setup.
    • Go to Load, select accounts to be included in the combined report, and print.
  • Account opened within an analysis range.
    • Select and save an analysis range @ a new account(s) with the open date as the start date and the end date the same as the end date of a Portfolio Performance — Combined Summary report analysis range.
    • @ Load select accounts to be included in the combined report; existing accounts that have a start date prior to the start date of any new account and new account(s) that have a start date after the start date of a combined analysis range with the end date being the same as the end date of the combined analysis range.
    • Print.
  • Set selected or global accounts to a new analysis range.
    • @ Load, Global Analysis Recalc, select a new From/To analysis range for selected or global existing accounts.
      • Per above, do not check new accounts that started within the new analysis range.
      • Go to new accounts within the new analysis range, if any, and set and save the analysis range as described above.
    • PerfCalc assumes the new analysis range selected has Market Value entries @ each of the individual accounts selected for the combined report.
      • If a selected account does not have a Market Value entry for one or both of the analysis range date, by default, PerfCalc will use the nearest dated Market Value entry in the account as the new analysis range date.
        • If this occurs, the Combined Report will show an asterisk (*) after the account name.
          • You have three options:
            • Ignore.
            • Go to the account and enter the correct Market Value on that date.
            • Exclude the account from the analysis.
